Oficina de Extranjeros
The new Oficina de Extranjería (Foreigner's Office) is the biggest in Spain and now provides all the services previously obtained at various old offices scattered around the city. (See map below)

The office is close to the Centro Mediterráneo where there is ample free parking. Calle Marruecos is to the south of the shopping centre.
From the outside parking area of the Centro Mediterráneo take the footpath at the opposite end to the petrol station. At the road turn right and the office is a few hundred metres on the right.

A pre-booked appointment is necessary for most transactions. You can queue up to an hour before your appointment time when you will register and be given a number. Watch the screens and when your number is displayed it will tell you which desk to go to. This information is also called out over the public adress in Spanish.
I.T.V. (M.O.T. Equivalent)
You can no longer go to the I.T.V. Station at Albox and get a test or an appointment for a test. This function is now centralised and you must contact 902 57 57 57 to make an appointment (cita). Very little English is spoken - to pre-book they will only need the registration number (matrícula) then they will give you (or you can choose) a date and time for your appointment.
Alternatively you can book an appointment on-line at www.itvcita.com. The website is all in Spanish but should present no real difficulty in filling in the required details - again the only required details are registration number (matrícula) and the date of registration (fecha de matriculatión) - name, phone number, e-mail etc. are optional. Please Note - A note on the website booking page says that if your car is not registered in Andalucía then you must use the telephone method of making an appointment.
