Madrid Christmas Trip. Dec 9-12th 2025
Price per person sharing a double/twin room:
Members – 325€
Non members – 345€
Single supplement – Unfortunately the supplement is 141€ and we encourage people to share a twin room wherever possible.
The price is based on 36-40 people travelling and when we exceed these figures the price will reduce.
The Deposit is 75€ per person and it would help the volunteers at the desk if you have the correct money.
Members take priority for the first two weeks of booking, after that period it is open to non-members
The balance is due at the beginning of November.
Bookings from Wednesday 23rd April, we open from 10am to 1pm.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Our coach will meet us at our usual pickup points in the Almanzora Valley and make its way north towards Madrid, the capital of Spain. After the comfort stops along the way, we reach Madrid mid-afternoon. Check-in and free time in Madrid. The hotel is close to the Plaza Mayor.
Day 2: After breakfast, discover Madrid at your own pace: there is lots to see, from museums to shopping centres, football stadia to famous “chocolaterias” and the rest. There are lots of places for “tapas” or a sit down lunch or dinner. You may want to try the typically “madrileño” calamari sandwich or the hearty “cocido”, very much a winter dish.
Day 3: Today we take a very special excursion: to the north-west of Madrid to reach the Valle de los Caídos (Valley of the Fallen), a massive monument dedicated to all that lost their lives during the Spanish Civil War. It is set amongst the mountains that protect Madrid from the northerly winds and dominated by one of the biggest crosses in Christendom. We return back to Madrid in the early afternoon.
Day 4: After some time for a leisurely breakfast and maybe some last minute shopping, we return to the Almanzora Valley with the necessary stops along the way.

Hotel Ganivet 3* – 3 nights on B&B in Madrid.
Buffet evening meal, with wine and water, in the hotel on the first night only.
Entries to Valle de los Caídos monument.
All transportation needed as per itinerary.
