Message from the committee: December 2025

We will be holding a Pre-Christmas Open Day on Saturday 6th December, with a talk by Dave Sharp MBE the Conductor of the Vera Orchestra (Orquesta Cuidad de Vera), who had a long career in the Royal Marines.

In February, our local writers, ‘The Written Word Group’, will be introducing us to their published anthology of works entitled ‘Dances with Words’.

A handful of the authors will be reading a piece from the book in the library, and all are invited to attend. Refreshments will be provided.

Our Christmas closing times this year will be 22nd December to 6th January (last working day Friday 19th December, reopening on Wednesday 7th January (Tuesday 6th Bank holiday) Don’t forget to stock up on books for over the festive period!

AGM to be held on Monday 26th January 2026 12 noon at The Hostel Rosaleda. Please note you will need to be in
membership to attend.

October saw the completion of our trip to Alicante.
