Message from the Committee: Jan 2025

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

We hope 2025 with be a good one for you and yours.

Welcome to our first newsletter, which will replace the printed magazine
until we find a new magazine editor – unless, of course, the majority of
our members prefer this version. We will await your feedback.

The most important thing to report this month, of course, is the AGM to
be held on Monday 27th January at bar/restaurant Mucho Mas, Albox
(across from the covered market). We will start at 12.00 noon, and you
are invited to stay on afterwards for a drink and a tapa while taking part
(or not) in a brief fun quiz about the Almanzora Group of Friends. A
precis of our history is enclosed with this newsletter so that you
can be prepared!!

At the AGM we are required to re-elect the current committee and vote
on three new nominees: Michael Edwards for post of Vice President,
Susan Ibbetson for the post of Membership, Angela Curran for the post
of Advertising and Alison Shand for the post of Events.

Of course, to be able to vote you need to be in current membership so
please renew as soon as possible if you have not done so already.
