Message from the committee: June 2025

Thanks to those who sponsored us for the Walkforlife. We were delighted to be able to hand over €1,000 to such a worthy cause. They really appreciate your generosity.

Thanks also to those who donated goods in response to Caritas’ plea for help. They now have supplies to last them through the Summer. Well done.

Thanks to the travel team for organizing the very enjoyable trip to Cabo de Gata in May and for the upcoming trip to the Butterfly Farm and Cactus Garden.

We had a successful ‘Fun Day in May’ – sponsored by Ibex Insurance who are now promoting us in their newsletters and on their website. Thanks to Alison Shand for organizing the event, to Angela Curran for liaising with Ibex and Berni from Ibex for working with us. Thanks also to Marian for bringing her art for sale.

Alison has organised another event for June – Rock Art – on Saturday 21st.

Looking further ahead, there are still four places left on the Mérida trip in September and 15 places left on the December trip to Madrid. The travel guys are always on the look out for new places to visit and thank those who have put ideas forward.
