Message from the Committee: March 2026

Walk For Life – On Saturday, 25th April, several of your committee are – again – going to take part in the Walk for Life. There is a
sponsorship form in the library if you wish to support this very worthwhile cause. And/or do come and join us.

We have a new Trip to Granada planned for March 24th see below for details.

Our newly planned Pre Christmas Trip To Mijas is already full due to popular demand!

Due to cancellations, places are now available on the Best of Cadiz Trip in May!

We sorry to say we are losing our Librarian Stephen Wood. The committee were sorry to hear of his decision to give up the role, but hope we will still see him around. We particularly hope he will still look after the tombola on Open Days !!!

You may have heard Andrea and Martin on Breeze FM last week. On April 13th, 14th and 15th Martin is attending Albox’s celebration of World Book Week, where he will be narrating to the local children in English and sending them on a Bear Hunt.

They need lots of teddies for the children to hunt. Do you have, or know of, any unwanted teddy bears that need a new home?

SAD NEWS

In February we said a sad farewell to Marinus van Loon. He and wife Liny had been in Spain for 9 years. In 2023 they joined the
group and came on several of our trips. He enjoyed it very much, especially because the group also looked after him. Liny would
like to thank us all for our support. We hope she will be able to join us on another of our trips when she feels able to and send
her all our best wishes.
