Thanks to all who attended our AGM at the end of January. The minutes are being prepared and will shortly be available in the centre for any member to read, together with the 2022 accounts.
On 13 January, the Written Word group began meeting upstairs in the centre. They had an enjoyable morning and will be meeting again on Friday 27th. If you wish to attend and/or check future dates please email Berni at email@example.com
We are considering holding a quiz as our first social event of the year – before our Easter open day. We will send out more information as soon as we have it.
And of course our Travel team have all sorts of ideas for future holidays and day trips which we will tell you about once the details have been finalised. Thanks, guys.
A reminder that this year we would like to re-instate our visits to the primary schools to read to the children in English, building on the work of their teachers and giving them chance to hear the language spoken fluently. If you have a few hours to spare once or twice a week and would like to spend those hours helping these children to learn, then please do contact us – by popping into the
centre or emailing us.
And if you have a few hours to spare once a week, please think about joining the library team. It is not hard work – honestly – just a chance to meet people, have a chat, loan out a few books, book
members on trips and enjoy yourself. Send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like to know more and Kathy will contact you.
