Here we are in June already. Time goes so quickly. As I write this at the beginning of May I can only wonder at the strange weather we have had this year – thunderstorms, rain downpours, hailstones, red dust. Hopefully by June it will have become more stable and perhaps be a little less humid than in previous years.
The travel guys are working on a trip to the Civil War Museum in Almeria for July/August, a possible short break to Ronda, a mystery day trip, and a Christmas break – possibly to Malaga. Thanks, guys, for beavering away behind the scenes.
Debbie is trying to find out about a visit to the local Pottery studio and museum. Watch this space. Please let us know of any other events you might be interested in.
There are a few special messages in the June magazine
- The Albox Ukranian Appeal – we have a donation ‘bottle’ in the library to support those who are so tirelessly helping refugees both here and in the Ukraine
- An opportunity to help Spanish Legionnaires improve their English and chances of promotion by hosting one (or more !) of them in
your home for a month.
- Finally, a few of our library team have had to take a break for medical or other reasons and we need some help. If you can spare a few hours one morning please pop in to ask what is involved, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
