Message from the Group President – March 2021
This time last year Covid was just a cloud on the horizon. This year we are totally enveloped by it and our lives have changed out of recognition. The good news is that vaccines are now available and there is light at the end of the long tunnel.
The travel guys are already looking ahead and have some ideas for day trips in small groups. We just hope we are going to be able to travel in the not too distant future.
Thanks for those who responded to my AGM report with positive feedback and messages of support. Your committee really appreciated your kind comments. Thank you.
We now have three new committee members – Sheila Dye, Ian Hurley and Sasha Mullings. We still have three vacancies and you can be co-opted on the committee at any time during the year (for ratification at the next AGM) so do think about joining us. We will welcome any help you can give.
We hope that by the time this magazine goes to print the library will be open again and you will be able to come in to collect this and the February issue. And of course to finally renew your membership if you did not manage to get in before we had to close again.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
Shelagh
