Message from the Group President – Nov 2021
Here we are in November already! From 1st of this month you can renew your membership for next year. When you do this, please check that the email address and telephone number we have for you is correct so that we can always contact you about new events. Thank you.
I am pleased to report that our ‘Coffee Spanglish’ is back, albeit with reduced numbers and that free blood pressure tests are available to members on certain days in the li- brary. More information on both these services appear later in the magazine.
More good news is that during October we were able to buy 20 brand new books from the generous donations of our library users. We hope to have a few more coming lat- er in the year, when members of our team visit UK and bring some back with them. This is the most economical way of doing it.
Please let us know if there is anything particular you would like us to look out for.
If possible, the AGM will be held at 11:00 on Friday 30th January 2022, venue to be advised. You will need to be in current membership to attend and/or vote so please do renew early. Finally, the travel guys are already planning trips for next year. If there is anywhere in particular that you would like them to consider do let us know.
