Message from the President: Nov 2023

Here we are in November already ! From 1st of this month you can renew your membership for next year. When you do this, please check that the email address and telephone number we have for you is correct so that we can always contact you about new events.

We are pleased to advise that Coffee Spanglish is now meeting in the centre on Thursday evenings from 5.00 pm. All language levels are welcomed. It is a chance to practice what you are learning/have learned elsewhere. We are hoping to tempt our Spanish neighbours in to practice their English, too. Do come and join us.

Our next Open Day will be on Monday 4th December. It is taking place on a week day rather than a Saturday so that local schoolchildren can come and entertain us. If there is anything else you would like us to include please let us know.

AGM. This will be held at 11:30 on Monday 29th January 2024, venue to be advised. You will need to be in current membership to attend and/or vote so please do renew early. We will be re-electing
our current committee with the exception of Mike Witherspoon who wishes to step down from the Publicity role. If you would be interested in helping us to spread the word about the group please come and talk to us about what it involves. It is not the least bit onerous.

Finally, the travel guys are already planning trips for next year. If there is anywhere in particular that you would like them to consider please email them at almanzorafriends@gmail.com or leave a note in the centre. Thank you.
